Focusing on the future of Bimini
The people of Bimini have a long tradition of helping others. They tend to give generously within their means, and feel a strong sense of responsibility to leave their neighborhoods, their state, and the world better places for generations to come. We know firsthand how much donors in Bimini care about the impact of their giving, and we look to amplify the power of their giving. We constantly commit ourselves to making sure our actions and investments are making a difference every day for the people and communities of Bimini.
Education.
The Foundation’s goal is to be actively involved with the development of the students, and staff and committed to continuing the maintenance required to keep the schools a safe haven and fun place to learn. This has been one of the most rewarding projects we have undertaken. With the help of volunteers, local contractors, specialists, and our board we were able to make necessary repairs and replacements of air conditioners, roof, appliances for home economic class, toilets, and fans, created a library/computer lab, built a storage area, and installed artificial turf at both schools for a safer environment.
First Responders.
Bimini Community Foundation, INC is dedicated to keeping our island safe while having the security and health care we need desperately. We recently granted our police department enough funds to complete the training facility with new air-conditioning, blinds, computer, projector, etc. WE ARE ASSISTING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH RECRUITING AND TRAINING (still waiting for further details to help facilitate resources for as well.)
